Meet Bridget, Our Dental Hygienist

Bridget has worked in dentistry since 2009, after graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2008. Her interest in dentistry began after undergoing complex orthodontic treatment herself while growing up. That experience gave her a genuine understanding of what patients can go through and inspired her to pursue a career helping others feel comfortable and confident about their oral health.

Bridget particularly enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She finds it incredibly rewarding to earn a patient’s trust, help them develop better oral health habits and see their appointments become easier and more enjoyable over time. She has a special interest in orthodontics, while also enjoying general maintenance and preventive dental care.

When treating nervous or anxious patients, Bridget takes the time to listen to their concerns, explain each step and remind them that they remain in control throughout their appointment. Her approach is patient, gentle and focused on working together at a comfortable pace.

Outside the clinic, Bridget enjoys keeping active, although she admits she occasionally complains about it! She loves travelling, always has another holiday on the horizon and regularly asks her patients for travel recommendations. Bridget comes from a large family and is very involved in their lives. She also loves cooking and is the go-to cake maker for family celebrations.

Most importantly, Bridget wants patients to know that she is ready to listen and will always do her very best to make their experience gentle and positive.
